Visiting us
If you’re coming to see us for an appointment at Commercial Street in Halifax, please see instructions below to access the building.
This is what our building looks like from the outside. Our main door is the large glass one, in-between the school uniform shop, Shaw Hardcastle, and MAMIL Cafe.
To access the building, press the ‘Open Minds CAMHS Northpoint’ buzzer, and wait for someone to answer. Someone will speak to you through the intercom and open the door.
Your appointment will be on the third floor, which you can reach via the stairs or the lift. When you come into the building you will find the stairs to your right and the lift at the end of the entrance hall to the left.
If you are using the lift, please tell reception on arrival. To operate the lift, keep your finger pressed on the number 3 button until the door opens on the 3rd floor.
When you get to the third floor, you will need to press the buzzer by the glass door. This will let the receptionist know that you have arrived. They will welcome you in and show you where to sit until your practitioner comes to meet you.
If you arrive early for your appointment, or are accompanying someone to their appointment, please use our comfortable waiting area.
This is an example of what our therapy rooms look like. At the end of your therapy session, you will be walked back to reception by the practitioner.
